- The Initial Evaluation: This is a free consultation that takes about an
hour to find out what type of Web site you are planning. We will provide you with enough information to allow you to decide whether
you want to go ahead to the next step.
- Estimate Preparation: If, after the initial evaluation, you decide to go
forward, we'll provide you a list of information we need from you to figure out an estimate. After we receive that, we will write
a set of specifications for your Web site with a cost estimate.
- Signing of Agreement: We prepare a standard contract including a detailed
description of the planned Web site and a cost estimate or an actual payment based on your budget. A 50% down payment of the
total estimate cost or actual cost is due upon signing of the Agreement.
- Content Gathering: We must obtain graphic content before most work can
begin on the site, and text content before the site can actually be built. We will assist you in pulling together all the necessary
content.
- Site Structure: Navigation is one of the most important parts of your site.
At this point, we will establish the site architecture, so visitors will not get lost on your site.
- Page Layout Drafts: This is when we produce a
prototype based on the content, needs, and preferences you provided. This is when we try to narrow down exactly what you're looking for in terms of
visual design and layout. We will need your feedback since it is essential in the Web Design process. Based on that, we will
modify the prototype until we produce a final draft. We use this same process when we design the
other pages.
- Working with Materials: Editing photos, photo optimization,
color sampling (for people who want to match a corporate color to their site design), product weight and pictures and similar
tasks are all done during this phase of the Web design process.
- Establishing Project Design / Look & Feel: Based on your feedback
from the prototype a design is established and used for your Web site.
- Establishing Layout of Site: Based on your feedback
from the prototype a layout is established and applied to your Web site.
- Home Page First: We start building your Web site starting your
home page, the main page. After we complete this and you approve it, we move on. We will optimize your site for the search
engines if you requested this.
- Sub Pages Second: We now work on the sub-pages (based upon layout and design
from 7,8,9) until completion. We also add forms, Flash, CGI, JavaScript, and Java as needed at this time.
- Coding of Actual Pages: We now use the approved page designs as templates.
We plug-in and adjust text and graphic content for a perfect layout. We also add dynamic code to page templates as required.
- Final Site Testing: We thoroughly test the site to ensure speedy download
response time. You'll have another chance to review it for any minor changes or corrections. We test the pages on popular browsers, on different
platforms (exp: Windows, Linux, etc.) and at different browser window sizes and resolution settings, and correct any remaining errors.
- Site Launch: Payment balance is due and payable at the time when
site is uploaded to the server and is "live".
- Search Engine Submission (if this was ordered): We submit your site
to top search engines. However, other search engines require fees, for which clients will be responsible.
- Ongoing Maintenance: We are pleased to handle your ongoing
maintenance at our regular hourly rate.
